The upcoming schoolyear marks an exciting time for Catholic Filipino Academy (CFA), with the Preschool Department officially shaping up! Below are more details, from CFA Preschool’s own Jen Bellosillo, whose homeschooling story was recently featured on philstar.com:

Dear CFA Family,

We are happy to announce new and exciting offerings that await families who decide to partner with us in their homeschooling journey.

We are offering the following Preschool Programs for School Year 2015-2016:

Nursery – 3 to 4 years old

Kinder 1 – 4 to 5 years old

Kinder 2 – 5 to 6 years old

Flexible Learning Materials

homeschooling in the philippinesWith CFA’s Preschool Program, parents have the option to use the materials of their choice or choose from our recommended books and materials for their homeschooling needs.

We have chosen the best locally published textbooks that parents can use as their main homeschooling material or as a supplement for their chosen curriculum.

A Learning Guide will also be provided to all enrollees which contain wealth of fun activities and lessons that you and your child will enjoy doing together.

Spiritual Formation Program

We want to help you raise your children to love God and serve others, and we are here to support you through our Spiritual Formation Program.

A Parent-Coach will be assigned to you to guide you in your homeschooling journey.

Reading Program

A Reading Program for ages three and above is available to help jumpstart your child’s learning.

Admissions Procedure

Step 1: Attend the Homeschooling Discovery Time (Orientation)

– For new families (Please email cfahdt@gmail.com for the schedule of the Homeschooling Discovery Time, or CFA’s Facebook page.)

Step 2: Schedule Parent/s Interview and Child Assessment

– Assessment is optional for Nursery and Kinder 1

– Assessment is conducted for the purposes of helping the parents in knowing what the child knows and what they can do in the different learning areas – oral language, early literacy, numeracy and motor skills at the time of entry to a particular grade level. Parents are given immediate feedback during the parents’ interview and recommendations are given based on the results of the assessment.

Step 3: Pay the Reservation Fee of P2,000 (non-refundable)

Step 4: Submit Requirements 


(Submit all documents in a brown envelope labeled with the student’s complete name and grade level)

– Photocopy of Marriage Contract (If Applicable)

– Original & Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate

– Original & Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate

– Previous School Records (If Applicable)

– 2 pieces 1 x 1 colored picture (White Collared Shirt/Red Background) WRITE STUDENT’S NAME AT THE BACK OF EACH PHOTO

– 4 pieces 2 x 2 colored picture (White Collared Shirt/Red Background) WRITE STUDENT’S NAME AT THE BACK OF EACH PHOTO


Step 5: Online Enrollment

– An online password will be emailed to you.

– Complete the enrollment form.

– School fees can be paid in cash or credit card.

– Wait for the confirmation email of your enrollment and instructions as to when to pickup your books and materials.

    we are living here in Thailand and my daughter is 5 years old now, can she enroll in your homeschooling and is this accredited in the Philippines Department of education? if yes, may i know the licence number? don’t think bad, i just want also an assurance because we are not in the Philippines right now , hoping for your understanding.

    may i know the process for overseas homeschooling

    my daughter is 3.5 yrs old now and i want to start homeschool. she was born in dubai and currently staying here… can i enroll her for nursery even if we are not in phils?
